Ten Sabres gathered at Marchwood YC for our 2011 Autumn Rally: Bristol Sabre, Corsair, Khushi, London Apprentice, Sabrage, Spirit of Venus, Summer Girl, Taganitaand Tressa were in good time for supper while Inishallah was a late arrival; she only had to come about a mile but could not come at all until she had lifted off the mud in Eling Creek. The crews of Luronne, Smuggler and Wings of Dawn joined us by road and the yacht club’s galley team provided the usual feast.

This year, the tides were ideal for boats sailing from the eastern Solent. Marchwood is such a good venue that we certainly hope to return there in 2012.
